Made loops thru various locations this morning and saw a few around WW, nothing much in BP, but Fairhaven there was a smorgasbord out there, but the mongers were acting like idiots, I mean they were speeding thru the side streets and saw one actually make a left up Fairhaven trying to catch them. Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I got the penicillin injection. My GP prescribed it and had me fill it at my local pharmacy. It wasn't covered by my health insurance for some reason, and I would have gone to my local health department for treatment instead, but they didn't have appointments available for about a week and a half. I wasn't going to wait that long so had to eat the $650 to fill the prescription at the pharmacy. Thank goodness for my FSA (which is now pretty much empty). If I need another shot, I'm going to the health department.

Thanks for that update, hope it works for you. $650 is far more than I would have expected.

I did some online reading and saw that some penicillin allergic people get 2 grams (8 tablets) of azithromycin and that has had good success. Of course, azithromycin is dirt cheap, but I would prefer whatever my doctor recommended.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Do you mind sharing what treatment you are getting? Since you do monthly STD checks, I expect you have not had it long and a single injection of penicillin will be sufficient.
