Two places that are good for testing are in fact "industry" testing places: Cutting Edge Testing in Van Nuys and perhaps even better, Talent Testing in Reseda. Excellent staff. They take cash. Knowledgeable about STI's, and if there is an issue they have doctors / PA's on call. You can get a urine test for the common biggies Ch / Gon / Trich, and Mgen as well for 100. Most civilian labs do not test for mgen, more common than Ch right now, some may not even do Trich. Gold panel blood plus all three orifices "everything" test for 250 ish at Talent.
