Read some reviews and it seemed like BBFS was an option. I was in the area checking out another place with no luck and thought I would check this one out. Go to settings / your account / icloud / and turn off private settings. That and chrome fixed the exact same problem for me.

I'm seeing the same on my laptop. Firefox manages to load the pages very slowly but the DuckDuckGo browser app fails with a timeout.

Started happening a few months ago.

However, no delays using DuckDuckGo browser app on my tablet, both using the same home WIFI network.

No explanation.
