I agree. I remember a few local news reports of "major stings" over the years, and they displayed a "mug shot board" of a few dozen people, most of them guys. It seems that they were led by the Warren Police Commissioner, but credit was also given to a Macomb County Task Force. The objective was to send a message to keep drugs and prostitution out of Macomb County.

One of the things that really got my attention was they said that the motels were working with the police (seemed kind of counter intuitive).

It would be nave to believe that they are only active for the occasional "big, newsworthy busts". Personally, there's nothing "special" about Macomb County for me to chance it.
