I get the feeling that you might be on the younger side because of this question.

But I'll just state that many, many professionals make significantly more than that. For example, Consulting is a skill that can often get billed out for $500-$1000 an hour for someone moderately skilled and knowledgable. People who are experts make insane money. I know a dentist who when someone told him something would cost $600 more and he just laughed and said. That's just one root canal for me. Hell.
