It's a scam. I work in cybersecurity and I have seen them all. What I can recommend is to never even respond to those messages. Just delete them and, better, block the phone number.

I feel that was a wise move and never send selfies, ever. There is some chatter on the Akron forum about stings and that ad sort of fits the bill. 2 years ago I saw an agency Asian in Middleburg, basically a mattress on the floor of an apartment complex, web cam was on in the main living room area, no furniture in the place.
