Never heard of it being used by scammers. Some mongers say LEO can use it to verify it is you that they had been communicating with.

Might be to buy more time. I believe it is the girl needing something g and is too lazy to get it herself.

I have done it but not anymore unless I know a d like the girl. I am not an errand boy.
