Anyone just get kinda depressed reading these threads? Just a bunch of delusional people asking for absurd amounts. It seems like the delusions have grown over the years. Of course able to negotiate down, I do so a bunch. But the fact these numbers even get asked.

Prices have gone way up in the past 2 years. If you're not used to seeing these high numbers, then it can feel uncomfortable / depressing. In a lot of posts, you see members post ppm but they don't post a rating with it so it's really hard to tell if it's overpriced or undervalued. It's like comparing apples with oranges or like a Prius vs Ferrari vs Bugatti. You can still find plenty of 5's and 6's and sometimes 7's in the 300-500 ppm range on Seeking but just not the 8's, 9's, and 10's.

Don't discount the impact of monetary policy and inflation. Those of us in the business world saw that PPP and ERTC and stimulus checks lifted the tide of monetary supply across the board. When a recession takes hold in 2024, there will be a correction. It's like home prices. Everyone thinks their house is worth what it was worth at the top of some cycle in the past. And it takes a year or so of new comps in your neighborhood to finally make you realize that your home is no longer worth that amount. Girls who asked and got 750-1000 will change once the number of guys willing to pay that much goes down. Or they'll exit and a new crop of young girls (and there's always a new crop. That's the beauty of the passage of time) will not be tethered to a past that no longer exists.
