There are plenty of providers who are flakes, or time wasters, but don't cross the line into outright scamming or ripoffs.

If a provider doesn't answer texts in a timely manner, or ghosts you upon arrival, she's certainly a flake and deserves to be called out. But scams and ripoffs are in a different class. A provider running a gift card scam, for example, wants your money but has no intention of providing service or even meeting you. Likewise, a provider who takes your money and then does something to deny service (cash-and-dash, 'friend' knocking at the door, etc.), is scheming to get money for nothing.

From what you describe, it sounds like you never actually met this provider. If that's the case, then it might be more accurate to describe her as a flake or time-waster. That's certainly not good behavior, but another monger might decide to give her a try in hopes she's having a better day. A true ripoff or scammer, OTOH, is never worth a 2nd try and should be immediately exposed in the ripoff thread.

I CashApp'd her for video. It wasn't much, but too much. I would never do a deposit, but I considered it an investment to see if she was going to waste my time driving all the way to NE from NOVA. Another mongerer said she was pushing video sessions on PoF and when she raised that, I thought I would roll the dice.

She didn't just take the money and run, she taunted me over and over, setting up times, then coming up with some excuse after for no-showing. Flake or scammer? Both? For someone who posts everyday, multiple times a day, I do not believe she is genuinely taking dates.

I think it is just a hustle. She pushes her IG in her ads, but in her IG she is posting all sorts of personal stuff, as well as using the same pics in her ads as in her IG. It would be easy to find her IRL because she is regularly posting where she is or where she is going to be.

If she was real, she'd be worth it. I am sucker for a young, black spinner offering everything she says is on the menu. But I really doubt any is getting it. On her IG she talks regularly about being lesbian and regularly posts groups pics with other girls who presumably (based on the context she posts) are also lesbian.

It all seemed TGTBT from the start, and I am confident it isn't true. I did text her a few times with a few different numbers and every time it was the same location and menu, but when I said I was there at the agreed upon time, it was more games. Flaky scammer.

If you search her up by name there are plenty of reviews from about 15 years ago when she would've been in her 20's so she definitely did provide at some point. Posted this in the DC forum but that one is pretty much dead. I am hoping to see this one as she is just my type and I haven't found one like her in the area for a while. What happens is that the other site tends to use the previous city or first city she was first reported as the location of the reported review. She may have been in DC sometime in the past but the reviews don't show her updated city.
