I've reviewed the Asian hotel around 27th before and wanted to give a couple more insights as folks have asked about the logistics:

My previous experiences have been fine in terms of setting things up. Yes, they want a photo from you. Some folks have said they didn't send photos and still got access, again YMMV.

This leads me to question the communication between the various numbers that lead to the same place, which makes me scratch my head about how things are organized.

My last three attempts have been failures to launch:

1. The texter kept saying '1 minute' for about 12 minutes, then I left.

2. Another time, the provider was still someone, even after I was given the room and the go-ahead.

3. The latest time, I was given the go-ahead without being asked a photo, knocked, could hear provider on the other side of the door who did not open. I never take my phone with me, so I walk back to my phone and text back 'WTF', then the texter asked for my photo. I said I was just knocking. They said the knocker AA, which I am not. I sent another actual photo of me but was denied access. I immediately texted a different number for the same place and it seemed like this texter was oblivious of denying me.

I had previously thought that this place was probably the easiest and least hassle compared to other options, but the last few ventures are not worth it.
