Then the 2008/2009 Great Financial Recession happened. At the time, Players was my go to club. I remember walking in after the stock market crashed in September 2008 and 2 out of the Big 3 had just filed for bankruptcy. The club seemed devoid of (laid off) customers, but a new dancer came up to me and immediately offered $100 BBJ /$200 FS /$300 Anal before I had time to find a seat and order my first drink. That's when I realized that the Detroit clubs had became a customer's / buyer's market thanks to the GFR. After that, it seemed to me that a lot of new dancers (whose boyfriends probably got laid off) flooded the clubs and extras were readily offered. It remained that way for a few years until Detroit hired Chief Craig and he started cracking down on VIP activities on 8 Mile around 2016 or so, but it was a great run for several years if you were a regular customer at an 8 Mile club.

Absolutely a PSE. Only thing she said no to was me filming her. And frankly, I asked up front before we even kissed. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a different answer once things were hot & heavy, she was very into it.

Club owners want the money, and pay off local cops to look the other way. Clubs will still get bachelor parties, guys that just want to look or get lap dances, etc. But also it gets in guys like me that are willing to pay a cover, buy a drink, pay a VIP fee, and pay a stripper to be a hoe.

Performance will always vary, but I've found that truly good experiences in clubs are tough to come by, especially if you're looking for full service. I've had tons of good experiences in the Detroit scene. Pound for pound, I have more fun in Detroit.
2) Clubs are stable and safe, despite not being in very good areas. I was speaking to the head bartender at Bogie's one day and she told me that the ownership group for the club has some local community ties which make it so they can run like a legit business despite being a brothel. Because the clubs are fairly stable, the girls tend to stay there longer and build up bases of regulars. They make more money with regulars, so they're generally happier than dancers who pop in and out of the industry and are always struggling to make ends meet. There are a good number of tenured, professional ****** on the circuit. They're smart and good at what they do.
3) Most of the suburbs where these clubs are located are fairly cheap areas to live. Because you're not in a place like Manhattan or LA, the girls can cover their costs with less money. So they can get away with charging less money to their clientele. Keeps prices fairly affordable, especially in the low-end clubs, despite the talent there being pretty decent most days.
Now if you want to know WHY these things are the way that they are, I have no idea. I'm not a ***** historian.

I had a nice experience with Nicole at BT's on a recent afternoon visit. Shortly after I settled into a booth with a drink, she approached and asked if she could join me. Looks wise, the was certainly acceptable but not a knockout (average body, slightly droopy boobs, light brown straight hair, nice face). But she seemed confident and sexy so I invited her to join me. Good decision. When she sat down, she reached over to my lap and started fondling me. We had a nice conversation, although my memory may have been impaired by the rush of blood from my head to my crotch. She mentioned that she was from West Virginia and would only be at BT until the end of this week.
With a little bit of urging from me, she moved her fondling from the outside to the inside of my pants. What a great strategy to sell a private dance. Anyhow, we negotiated for an "everything" dance for 200. She enjoys her work and delivered a great session. I tipped accordingly.
I've read of a Nicole who works at Henry VIII and but I've never met her. For forum readers who "know" (in the Biblical sense) Nicole at Henry VIII, does this sound like the same person? Regardless, Nicole at BT's provides an outstanding private dance.

High tax revenue for the smaller cities, very little trouble or police runs to most clubs, very liberal Wayne county, big 3 Auto, blue collar non religious area of country, proximity and competion from Canada.

While Detroit is no longer as bad a place as Robocop (in a mocking dystopian future), Eminem and others made it out to be at its worst, it was bad for a long time. When the rust belt's industry largely left, the population went way down and left a lot of rundown, abandoned spaces, the "ruins of Detroit. " A significantly smaller population and tax base left the police departments underfunded and overwhelmed. Many low-income folks who didn't escape turned to drugs and crime, and the abandoned spaces made it both easier for those activities to happen and harder to police.
In other places, where police are better funded and politicians have fewer massive issues to deal with, politicians can focus on victimless crimes between consenting adults to win political points, Detroit had bigger issues to deal with for a long time. When there are too many drugs and murders to stop, why focus on the victimless crimes?
Furthermore, for those low-to-middle income folks, chances for dancers to make more money and to customers ease some of their pain with adult services wasn't something either were against, while there were still enough automotive bigwigs around to want services, too. So clubs did well, dancers saw it as a way to make money if they were willing to go the extra mile, there isn't the vice coverage or want to stop it, and the culture just kind of rose up from there.
That's always been my impression. Others might see it differently.

Posts: 12Both have a separate larger room available for couples, and I've been to both with my SO. I think the larger room at LS is quite a bit bigger with more space than FC. It's actually got a pretty big couch that 3 people can fit on comfortably in various positions.

My truly epic nights in Detroit have involved one of two things:
1. Clubs with a wide selection of dancers.
2. Hitting the club up at the right time.
I once had three VIPs in a night at a single club, two of which had happy endings. There were more than enough dimes walking around to satisfy a packed building, even if a few were occupado.
Another night, I ended up doing OTC with two spectacular blondes many of you probably remember. It was nearing the end of the night, they saw me standing alone near them and summoned me over. I remembered seeing one at the club before, which sparked conversation, and things went well from there.
There's always exceptions.
That's why it's important to be quick but polite about turning a girl away that doesn't capture your fancy. "I'm kinda waiting on someone, but thanks. ".

Take away that time limit and you can wait for what you want. I'm more than fine with that, particularly when I'm in Detroit where I know the reward could be outstanding.
I guess that's where we split. I have read about being, and have been trying to become, "more Alpha," to use your wording: Workout more, have bigger posture, be more authoritative, all of that. But if I'm headed to a club where I'm paying for services, I don't want to use my brainpower on being something other than just being what I'm comfortable being, which is more passive and observant. I like being approached. I'm not afraid to turn someone down, but I'd rather have them come to me.

I dress nice, smell nice and tip well. And it's not like I'm looking to be the s in a D / s situation. But I just like the girls coming to me. If one particularly pops, I'll approach when I see she's free. But if she's got a whale spending all kinds of cash on her, hey, good for her; I'll wait until another one that flips my lid approaches.

Absolutely. It's generally assumed here we refer to the suburban clubs outside the Detroit city limits.

Posts: 83Re: Why Detroit Metro Better than most
This is just my humble opinion. In no certain order, Michigan and especially Wayne County is a very LIBERAL (across the board) area controlled by Democrats and as long as the clubs are generating high tax revenue for the smaller cities and no massive headline crimes are being repeated there is generally a liberal, libertarian hands off political ideology in some areas of Wayne county. Detroit is also very close to Canada where its pretty open and more liberal in certain areas. Detroit metro is also a very non-religious diverse region of the country where live and let live ring king in many areas. Add the fact that this is the headquarters for the Big 3 automakers with blue collar union jobs again (non-religious or live and let live people for the most part) Strip clubs and the fun are part of the culture in this area and have been for decades. Many dancers come from Toledo, Cleveland, Indiana etc. And this just adds to the towns economy and keeps sex work in a controlled safe environment which is the prevailing ideology. I don't mean to be mostly political, but you will rarely have the fun like here in CONSERVATIVE Republican cities and states. Texas is 1 exception but its just mostly the liberal cities ie. Houston, Dallas. Jerry Jones even likes to have a little fun. LOL I'm sure there are other "reasons", but that's my 2 cents. Happy hunting!

Posts: 682Why is the Detroit strip club scene better?
Several members have posted that Detroit clubs are better than most other clubs in the US, in terms of availability and extras. Can anyone say why?
