I've had it done many times. 3 different kinds: moving, suction and hot cups.

Non-traditional method. The suction was done by a PT. Basically places the silicone cup on, uses pump to create suction. Then she'd move the cup around. Yes, a bit painful.
Traditional method uses glass cups. Heat the cup then place on skin. Depending on heat to cup and location of placement, this creates suction.
Does it work? It depends on the intent. I found it helpful with tight, sore back and legs. A friend had a cyst type removed by needling the cyst and applying cupping to draw out the cyst.
The old owner at Camille spa used to offer it. My acupuncturist does it.

Anybody had the pleasure of seeing Dayanne yet. If that is a real pic, she will be busy soon.

Posts: 612I had it done for years. Not a painful experience at all, unless it's done with mobilization, that can feel uncomfortable.

Has anyone ever had a cupping massage? Does anybody actually feel any better after receiving it? It always looks like an all pain no gain situation and I'm unconvinced it has any real healing method to its madness but I've never done it. Just curious if anyone here has and if it's something they'd recommend.

I finally saw her, and it was a good time. Nik is hard to get ahold of initially, since she requires a phone call instead of text, and doesn't return calls promptly. If you're patient and not pushy, she will reward you. She has a nice incall with a relaxing environment, and her massage is not hard, but not too soft either. I opted for her prostate add-on, and on the flip, her combination of HE with PM play was really good. It was already difficult to handle her edging, but when the PM happened, I didn't last too long.
She also offers Nuru, and I'm going to take her up on that for next time. She does have a cat in case anyone is allergic, but she'll keep him in the other room.

Posts: 465I did not catch the other ad
But if I'm not mistaken, that's baby hua aka the purple lady on Javier Rd. So I'm guessing she's expanding her influence over NOVA. It's been years since I've seen her but admittedly I am not a fan of her or the way she operates her abode ie sanitation issues and biohazards of bodily fluids of the many denizens that visit in a day.

That's the crazy purple Baby Hua's Lucy crew on Javier rd. They are expanding I guess. Read my review two weeks ago in the AMP thread. Stay away.

On second thought, I was browsing body rub ads on Bedpage this evening and noticed an ad for three spas, one of which is the one on Harland Road. So it appears my initial assessment may have been mistaken.

I stand with my fellow monger in asking what is a Bi Bo Ting Negative Ion Health Preservation Device?

That's a good question. Your guess is as good as mine. Based on the info listed in that ad, though, I'd regard that spa as not offering any extras until a senior says otherwise.

Thai Annie is back in town. One of my favorite Thai independents if you want a young (30's). A lot of Thai providers have man-made enhancements / plastic surgery but if you're like me and like a natural beauty untouched by surgical knives and silicone. Annie is def a recommend. Gives a good massage and has a full menu available.
