Per 100 K people, the rate was 380 violent crimes in 2022, down from 387 in 2021, which was down from 385 in 2020. This was the 3rd lowest it's been since 1990. In fact, in the 90's, the rate was above 700 5 times in that decade. We are significantly safer from violent crime now than we used to be 30 years ago.

So, please, remember that before regurgitating a narrative being pushed by certain politicians that all politicians are liars, and you should look up the facts instead of trusting what they're telling you.
