While I don't know what the deal was with LAKGirls, CGLA putting their website to private and limiting who can book wasn't out of nowhere. The recent bust in the East Coast has made some bookers here more vigilant. This is a good thing. They are looking out for their girls and the clients, and most of all themselves.
