Have seen discount codes posted here recently, but I haven't signed up in a while. I have two profiles on SA, and was going to sign up on Profile A, but it wants to charge full rate. For Profile B, it's offering me a 20% discount, but there's no code, it's just a popup that says "click here to re-subscribe". Anybody else seeing this? Am I missing something?

Yes, I sent money for an Uber. Another mistake that I know better than to make. But we seemed to click so well over text. She had even invited me to see her perform at a showcase the night before. She was updating me with her ETA and saying how she was nervous but excited. Kept saying she was around the corner, down the street, or across the street waiting for me to send more money for her "safety", but wouldn't meet me in the lobby or out front so that I could see that she was actually there. I guess it's possible that I missed out on a good time by not sending 30 bucks, but her story just wasn't adding up and I had backup on standby so I pulled the plug.

My take is this person wasn't anywhere near your place and possibly not even in the country. It sounds like a complete scam to me, someone getting smaller amounts because they're less suspicious and working up in price until you finally realize it's bullshit. Good job on not throwing good money after bad on these pieces of garbage!

I agree. You did the right thing pulling the plug. They figure it's almost impossible to get guys to send them $300 in one shot in exchange for nothing, but if they can get $10 at a time, they can string a guy along enough to eventually get a sizable amount anyway. Sunk cost psychology is a real thing.

It sounds like there's a part of you still wondering if you should have sent what she requested, but the request is nonsensical. Had you sent the money, she would have either ghosted you or had some emergency happen to keep the scam going a bit longer.
