In fact, you're probably more likely to have a worse experience by overpaying because whoever you're seeing is trying to hit a home run here or there from gullible types and doesn't care about good service or anything long term.

As said before, the very best types are ones who do all this on the side while having steady income already, though that does make you skew towards a higher age. They do it because they enjoy it and not because they have to. Not to say there aren't good ones that don't fit that bill, but anyone else has more likelihood of being crazy, clingy, flaky, or other issues.
