If you take the time to read the article, it alleges that he was operating between September 2022 and May 2023 when the warrant was served. Article was published in August 2023.

One of the girls on Michigan Eros was complaining that a regular contacted her asking for UAW discount since he was collecting only strike pay now. She declined.

Crazy. I wonder whether the union knows it negotiated discounts to members from SP's. Smh. That guy may have been thinking of a provider or two who used to advertise discounts to first responders following 9/11. I'm over 65, do I get the AARP discount?

One case rarely puts agencies in line; they have to get several rulings pounded into them, especially since different cases have different fact patterns.

Heck, look at how often govt violates 1st amendment even though there are lots of rulings to clarify what the law is.

Yeah, it seems that the argument being made by the challengers is that the government would still be able to seize assets but that there would have to be a fairly quick evidentiary hearing on whether the government could keep it. The challengers' proposed test would have a court balance the interest of the government in preventing property from being used for crime vs. The defendant's interests in the property.

I hope the government appeals. Not because I agree with them, but because I want Wayne Co to lise at SCOTUS & strike a major blow to civil asset forfeiture. Institute for Justice does good work; toss them some donations if you can afford it as they represent people for free.

Two time victim of that bullshit 'nuisance' law here. GREAT news to hear. I doubt it, but hopefully those three parties (and more later) will be able to SUE those assholes for some big $$ and put an end to that scam once and for all! Just imagine the humiliation that would cause the crybabies who are in favor of these types of laws.

Besides the shakedown for money scam for allegedly sexting a minor, there are also the asshats who think they are Chris Hansen followers creating a "To Catch a Predator 2. 0" scenario to shame people online for views and clout. Absolutely do what the victim in this story did — someone claims to you in an online dating app that they are a minor, block and report their ass. Either they are a minor and should be kicked off the app, or more likely they are adults pretending to be a minor for the sole purpose of attempting to ruin your life on camera for profit and fame.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Why do all these girls set up in Warren? Warren seems to clean house every year about Christmas time to make for a feel-good news story. You would think SPs would learn to get away and stay away. And why haven't more gone to Washtenaw Co. (esp. Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti) where they don't prosecute solicitation or prostitution unless other criminal activity is involved? A2/ Ypsi market is dying a slow death.

It's about the geography. . easier for them to get their drugs and a place to stay reliably. Most girls stay 5 minutes from their dealers. Also, while they don't face prosecution their pimps are being heavily targeted for trafficking. So it's not beneficial for them in Washtenaw.
