Another tip is to stick both hands out the window as they are walking up. They realize that you don't have a gun ready to shoot them, and they know you've been trained by other cops or lawyers.

To me that just screams "I've been arrested before". I'd suggest keeping your hands on top of your steering wheel, if it's dark out, turn on your interior light (before they walk up). That way they can clearly see you're not reaching around hiding anything or getting a weapon, before they walk up. It's more subtle than sticking your hands outside the window, but still puts them at ease, and shows that someone taught you to do that. I'd say it's most likely you saw Dee Dee. Used to be on the sites but she's fallen on even harder times than usual and can't keep a place and / or a phone long enough anymore for that. She's on the corners a lot now. Horribly reviewed everywhere. If you see her do not give her the money up front, if you keep it until after there's a chance you might actually have a decent time.
