Whenever you come across something interesting and you're not able to scoop, just stop and ask for their phone number to meet up a little later. I always do it. That one question can tell you what you want to know about her by the way she responds. If she seems agitated, don't call because the date is not going to be good. If she is cordial, that's a winner. And you also have the phone number to call at your convenience. Never pass on something that looks good. Also you can't get in trouble for asking for a phone number incase it's a sting.
