I guess your user name might be in that but VBulletin encrypts passwords so the only thing that goes out in the packet is a hash not the actual password. I can't even find out your password and I have server access.

All your data passes through your ISP so they can see whatever you do without encryption. They don't do that and they should have protections in place to prevent illegal access. But they can say if the govt want to monitor you.

Most websites are now encrypted, https instead of HTTP. They don't know what the contents and interactions are but still they know which website you are visiting. There are encrypted DNS providers like 1. 1. 1. 1 so your ISP won't even know where you visited. With VPN, you get all these benefits.

But that's moot. You really can't get into trouble by accessing websites outside of the dark web.

VPN is encrypted end to end. The weak link is your end. If your SO opens your web browser, she will know the websites you frequent.
