You are absolutely correct. Many folks would be caught up in the moment and not have the insight to take a 'big picture' look at the situation.

I highly doubt I would fight the guy over 100, but another good lesson from your story is not to park in front of the building or in a part of the lot where you could be seen or blocked. I always try to park around the corner when I drive. The L or CTA busses can be a pain because they take a long time and showering before leaving becomes kind of moot if the day is hot or the mass transport is cooking, but one nice thing about mass transport is that a car can't be targeted or impounded.

While I agree intelligence is best. Being passive or just giving up the money out of fear doesn't always help. I'm dredging this up only because I started seeing her ads again. I saw her twice back in February. Her pics are accurate. She is pretty shy. She had her own place in a small studio.
