So yeah had my eye in this one. And everything seemed to start off good, once she finally responded 3 hours later. I got the donation which she said 200 for the hour. So someone enlighten me. How does Listcrawler benefit from all the fake ads? Why would they allow that? Isn't it free to post an ad there? Seems like 99% of the ads are fake.

It pretty much renders their website useless because most of us are smart enough to spot fakes from a mile away.

Just like almost all online scams, the cost of putting them out into the wild is nearly nothing, and one person or group can have thousands, or tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of ads out there.

It only takes a tiny percentage of people who view the ad falling for it to make it profitable.

Maybe we should have a separate thread discussing scam tricks.

I've noticed that a lot of the scam ad are now using 502 area codes, since out of state area codes have always been a big red flag.

Some are putting their location as "Airport" or "downtown" to look more local, but of course, every major market has an airport and a downtown.

If the scammers keep finding people to fall for it, they are going to keep on doing it.
