    New Ohio Concealed Carry Law

From what I am gathering its the same as having a CCW but can't have it loaded if traveling through a school zone which is a Felony charge and if you are traveling out of state a lot you may want to get a CCW. Also as some mentioned already, if you get a CCW you are finger printed and photographed. Plus your plates and DL are flagged as a CCW carrier. So if you ever get stopped or under the influence they will go the extra step to search your vehicle to find one for additional charges.

Just because you don't have to have a permit to own or carry a firearm, that does not mean that there are ample opportunities for LE to stop you or charge you with a host of misdemeanors. For what it costs to actually get a CCW (about $80 and a day on your weekend) its a no-brainer. GET the CCW. Of course, if you have prior convictions for felonies or violent misdemeanors, you won't be eligible for a CCW, but regardless of permit-less carry laws, it is a violation of federal law to carry a gun in any circumstance if you have those convictions. Another reason to get the CCW is that they do spend a degree of time in the class making sense of the laws and exactly what your rights are as well as your responsibilities.
If you have a CCW you can have the gun in the glove box or center console, but if you don't have one you have to place it in the trunk and retrieve it when you reach your destination and then place it back in the trunk when you leave.

Getting a CCW means you surrender your fingerprints, photo ID, and on file with the County Sheriff and possibly State Police. If you're comfy giving up your rights, go 4 it. As for me, no way! Same with buying from a dealer. Not going to be presumed guilty for a 2nd amendment right.

Make sure to read the law very well! They can still nab you on improper transportation of a Gunn a motor vehicle! If you don't have a CCW permit why can nail you on that!

Do we have any lawyers in the house?

    Fellas,

There's got to be something we can do to stop this tax payer wasted witch hunt. If anyone has any experience with this please take the reigns and let us all know what we can do to stop this waste of county resources and the financial and public ruin of our fellow mongers.

It would take us coming out of hiding, but I wonder if we all filed a huge petition against this, would it make a difference? I don't think they realize how many of us there actually are. Or maybe they do and this is why they keep milking this lucrative cash cow. 🤔.
