I understand. But the key point you made was handing it over. Unless you talk about what you are going to do or initiate contact first they have no way of proving what the money was for. You could've come there to buy merchandise, or a foot rub. Prostitution can only occur if a verbal agreement or physical intercourse / masterbation occurs. Any court that tries to prosecute someone without those factors will lose everytime. This is why LEO needs you to discuss actual acts, or compensation before they move in to arrest.
