I've been to the DR, Costa Rica, Columba, Thailand, Brazil and a few more. The DR is the shortest flight and if you know some Spanish, you'll thrive there. Sosa, Dominican Republic (Great beach's), Angeles City, Philippines, Pattaya City, Thailand (beach's). I particularly like Cali, Columbia over Medellin, Bogota or Cartagena. Brazil has changed over the years, but they still have great beaches. In the DR they have "starter sexcations).
