Posts: 579I was going in about once a month to see my girl, great times as I would buy a few rounds of drinks for her girlfriends & her I kinda of got the VIP treatment with a lot of naked girls hanging around near me. Not to mention I mention the VIP room fun.

I'm sure the owners still own the property. It costs a lot of money to take down the sign. The Follies sign did not come down until they were trying to resell the property.

As to why it is still lit at night, my guess is that is a big F. U. to the city of Doraville from the owner. He finds it worth the electric bill, LOL!
He may also have legal action still going on, so lighting the sign might show intent to reopen and not abandon the business.

Doraville has some nice parts, but the part around 285 and Peachtree industrial has gotten kind of run down and commericial property doesn't seem that hot. Hence the reason the city of Doraville wanted to shut down a strip club. No, I don't live in Ackworth or any high class suburb.

Posts: 575Yah, they were not too strict on the seating. They let me sit at a table while I got dances. There were a nice mix of girls there (older, latin, asian, AA, blondes, etc) and one of the few places that I have seen young asian co-ed types. The girls that worked there seemed to feel safe. I would have gone back, but I think it closed in Sept-Oct.

Posts: 579My SB worked at Oasis, & I had several great nights at the club. The deal with paying to sit at the bar or at a table was because people wouldn't tip the bar tenders, I tipped the bar tender about $25 the first time I went in there, the 2nd time about a month later the guy remembered & told me to take a seat even though it had reserved.

Yah, I'm sure it will be hard to get a new license. One girl at Goldrush told me they were trying to relocate in the Piedmont Road area. Evidently the girls that worked there liked the management.

Posts: 677I've never found relocation to ever work out. It's too hard to get it to work.

I used to go to Oasis long ago. It was always a good club on par w / Mardi Gras and PP. Last time it was similar to PP, but you had to pay to sit at a bar or table. I imagine the sign is staying up because they still own the building. That isn't really a great part of town so they may just be holding on to it for tax reasons. I am pretty sure the city of Doraville has made sure that place will never open it's doors again in that locale.

You're right. There's not much going on in Cheetah or PP. I occasionally visit both clubs. Sometimes I get VIP in cheetah, but it's not worth it. These are nice clubs if you want to hang around, have drinks and watch the view. Not worth spending money. I like cheetah because smoking isn't allowed and it's an upscale club. I used to get VIP dance before, but not in the last year or so. Again, nothing going on in VIP. But the girls are amazing, gorgeous. You can't find such talent in Vivide type of place.

Posts: 313Right I haven't noticed before, I only first saw Oasis until after it closed and now close by to pass it regularly. My question is since it was shut down by the city, why aren't they taking down the sign, let alone let the sign stay lit up? Plus the seemingly new neon palm tree & cars from day time laborers are curious activity.

What you describe is the sign that has been there for years and years. Nothing has changed. You just never noticed.

According to their web site they are still closed and looking for a "possible relocation". https://oasisatl.com.
