I imagined looping around the south loop as you do and on Lincoln saw a nice figure around 11th. I pulled over to say hello and wow, she tried opening my door right away! Luckily I had it locked. I think it's been a couple of years since I've done the stroll. Seems like it at least. I was out Saturday morning. I saw a few girls. One that stood out had very short black hair and I think she had a tat on her face (Not 100% on that). Walking very slowly. Definitely a laid back vibe, very different than the jittery addicts often have. I passed just because I was trying to get used to being back out again. Does this girl sound familiar to anyone? Maybe 4 or 5 years ago I came to a stop light on Lapham and 6th, there was an older SUV in front of me and some guy was firing a hand gun out the passenger window into the air, at least 10 shots then sped away. A few years ago in the summer, I was parked on at the Speedway on Greenfield, heard several shots, seen a SW ducking behind a telephone pole then as I drove out going west seen some Black dude laying dead on the sidewalk, I didn't know he was dead until I read about it the next day. Then near the same gas station, might have been around 2018 had a couple guys ram into me intentionally, pretty sure they were after my car, wasn't an expensive vehicle but was the number one stolen car a few years in a row a while back.
