My experience with this is one. Number is blocked but she seems to be calling on other numbers as well in hopes that I'll answer. Lesson 100% learned and still wishing that this is all over soon.

Wish there was a way for her to go away. I was receiving texts saying "I'm going to ruin your Christmas" "I know where you live. " It's all bad, but again number is blocked now.

Could be a LEO sting to show who you are and what car making it easy to swoop in on you or could be used for blackmail later, as I would never send them a pic of me. Especially with her jumping around state to state and changing the numbers and her IG name doesn't exist. Looks good, but my antennas are up.

The easiest way to prevent this from happening is never ever engage with any provider who isn't working in Washtenaw County. If you're in Washtenaw County and they pull this shit, you call the cops and have her arrested and prosecuted for extortion. If you're outside, you're screwed. I don't understand why folks are still willing to see escorts who don't work in Washtenaw County.

If we're out and about, it should only be with burner and alternate accounts that are not connected to you in any way.

In this case, if the victim hasn't already, I would get in contact with an attorney specializing in this sort of cybercrime today. Those guys have resources to track people down. I knew of a guy in MA who was extorted this way, and the attorney was able to get some traction on who the extorters were and got them to back off, basically using their personal information and threatening to go to the police. It's well worth the money spent, especially for married people. It's worth noting that the victim here did not commit a crime, at least not one that can be successfully prosecuted, while the extortionists have. He should try to find whatever leverage he can.
