The easiest way to prevent this from happening is never ever engage with any provider who isn't working in Washtenaw County. If you're in Washtenaw County and they pull this shit, you call the cops and have her arrested and prosecuted for extortion. If you're outside, you're screwed. I don't understand why folks are still willing to see escorts who don't work in Washtenaw County.

You are assuming you're dealing with rational intelligent people. I think the best response would have been to block the number and never respond to threats. They'll most likely move on to another mark.
