From my many encounters, the vast majority of listcrawler ads require deposit, even if I was upfront in not paying deposits. They lure you into a lengthy dialog then require it at the last minute. Obviously fakes. But I wonder if maybe just a tiny few of them are actually real and afraid of being tricked.

I see a real business opportunity here for some 3rd party neutral agent to be the middle person. Someone who will hold the deposit, and only send through once the provider is in-person confirmed, else it is returned. For a small fee most of us will be willing to take the risk on. It will also eliminate almost all fakes.

What to do with no-show? Not sure.
