Posts: 43Be aware of Winter at Bogart's
I wish I had known about Winter at Bogart's. She made an offer for 6 dances for $. As soon as we got to the VIP, she demanded the $ upfront. That should've been my warning to leave. But, dumb me I stayed. After 3 songs of air dances, she was done. After I pointed it out it was only 3, she reluctantly did one more. After that, she demanded a tip. I gave her a 5 and she said she wants more and tips are not optional. That's when I said no. She then went to the VIP doorman said we made a deal for $60 and only received $55. When I disputed her claim, she said the deal was $$ and I short changed her.
When I spoke to a few other people there, they all said to watch out for her. And that was not her first rodeo. In the end, I guess I didn't get taken too bad. But, the warning signs were there and I just didn't follow them.

Posts: 221This is all spot-on. I love dayshift because, even though I'm in my mid-30's, there's less young guys in the club during day shift, meaning less clowns "makin it rain. " Plus the girls are usually more down to earth and WAY more realistic with their expectations for VIP. I've found a ton of gems at SC and BT's and had an awesome time during dayshift.

The toughest part about day shift is getting over the stigma you're going to a strip club during the day and not doing something more productive with your life. If you can get past that mental block, though, it's fine. It's not like we're running around advertising we're mongers to everyone we know.
The big thing is the vibe is far more chill. The music is usually quieter and slower. No light shows or fog machines. It's more normal for dancers to sit and talk with you for a while during day shift before you decide to go back for services, which I like.
The customer number is usually small enough to count on two hands, sometimes one. It's typically an older crowd with a few retirees, but also a few younger guys with nothing better to do or businessmen escaping doing actual work. Go to a nicer club and lunch will be good, though not on the cheap side. Customers are usually there for the girls, perhaps a favorite dancer, and intend to spend. Some may be relaxing because they're already spent, so to speak, waiting on a particular girl or just there to be away from the world for a while.
The dancer number is lower accordingly, too, but that doesn't mean the quality falls off. In fact, I'd argue the median and average dancer quality improves. A lot of dancers -- good ones, hot ones, ones who know what they're doing and ones who might more so enjoy the job than do it because they need to -- prefer the day shift. Some dancers don't like dealing with the drunken, disrespectful party element at night that doesn't spend, or like the older daytime crowd because it's easier-going, friendlier and typically more cash-flush. It's especially true if a dancer has a regular they know will come in consistently. Some places don't even do stage shows during the day, or if they do, they're very chill and sensual, which some dancers like.
As it is in the Detroit metro area, there are a lot of variables about sessions that depend on the girl and the club. For the most part, there's two ways it works: If it's a non-extras girl, you'll probably be expected to pay by the dance or for a block of time. If it's an extras girl, it depends. Often times, said ladies will ask for a certain amount for the room, then a certain amount for whatever service she's providing, and say they'll cover the song number. Many a good debate has been had about the merits of negotiating those things up front versus when the little head might be doing the thinking while things are getting hot and heavy; find other discussions about that elsewhere. Alternatively, sometimes they'll say you need to cover each song, too, but not often.
Whatever, though, if you're taking more than 30 minutes to do what you wanted to do, you better tip well. At the end of the day, her time is her money, and even if there's six or seven possible booths, there might be something particular about the one you're using that another dancer could be waiting on it with a big spender. So while your dancer may prefer not to rush, and know you don't want to be rushed, she probably isn't going to want you to dilly-dally, either. If she does have time to kill just talking and wants to do it with you, both she and the club would probably rather you did it at the bar or a table.
So if you're thinking an "unlimited session" means you can camp out from lunch until the night shift, no. But it also shouldn't feel rushed, either. You can probably get a good feel for the lady's pacing by your interaction before going upstairs. Assuming services were negotiated, I find it's nice to take a couple songs to get normal dances to just kind of flirt and warm up, then get to business. If you two are really vibing, then maybe you're there a while longer. No big deal. But generally speaking, you're there to receive a service, you receive it, and you go.
One of my all-time best experiences with a dancer came with an older southern belle blonde during day shift at a Detroit club who was still in damn good shape. Too long ago for me to remember the name, sadly. She said I reminded her of the good things about her ex she had a few kids with, which she liked. The more we did, the more she wanted to do, such that she basically talked me into FS. She out-and-out said she was done with night shift at that stage of her career. There are merits to day shift.

Posts: 264I swim in the side-gig pool sometimes, including some work that involves playing music but stops short of being called a DJ.

If anything, you're more comfortable when you know what to expect than when you play new stuff you're not familiar with yet. You get nervous when you've downloaded a new track that it's going to throw a file error or do something weird the first time you play it. With the familiar ones, you know when you can take a bathroom break.
On the other hand, a wedding DJ can pull $1,500 per gig easily. Granted, that includes hauling gear and lights and whatnot, so it's much more of a PITA than being someplace with a permanent setup. Still, if that's what the DJ is making, even after tips and whatnot, you're not going to get a lot of serious DJs doing the club thing.
As far as the girls go, I imagine it's not all that different than it is as a customer or at any other workplace: Some you wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole. Some, you grow to like their personality as much as their look. Some, you're probably like, "Hell yeah, I would. " The only difference is, this is a workplace where being DTF is the ladies' business, though there may be some level of the ladies not wanting to do business with their co-workers.
I'm guessing a lot of the DJs also get to see the sides of the business we don't get to see as much as customers: The girls who do their drugs in the club. The personalities that are a lot uglier than the ones they use to sell room time. And so on.
It's probably one of those things that sounds better in theory than it is in reality. That said, just like clubbing from a customer's perspective, there are probably some gems out there that could be worth it.

I'm looking into trying the club scene. I'd most likely start with an Inkster club during day shift. I'm curious how long on average can a "no song count" session actually last? And also, do a lot of people show up to the day shift? I've never actually mongered in public LOL.
Thanks guys.

Day shift. First time at this club, but frequent flyer at Inkster / Dearborn clubs. Had a nice sandwich when I got there. Had a nice feel for food selection, if I shouldn't have, please let me know but I felt at ease. Waited for the full rotation go through before I welcomed company. Eventually was greeted by Olivia, a super smiley dimpled 5'5 blonde who could never get her bra back on after a dance. She sat with me, got me really excited to take her back, only for her to tell me she didn't do any extras. It's a damn shame. Anyways, she was still pleasant to talk to and I'd prolly buy her a drink on my next visit. Waited for Emily, who had an insane beach body. Smoking hot 10/10 in my book. White girl, athletic / muscular build, no tits (perfect) and a tart little booty. Unfortunately she never made her way to me after her next round on the main stage. Alas, the girl I took a private dance with, I can't recall her name but she was 5'9 ish without heels, jet black straight hair, said she works at BTs on other days. She opened with 400 CFS, we talked down to 300 and off we went. Tipped the doorman, behind the curtain we went & to town I went. Had her warm me up with a minute or so of good head, okay head. Had her straddle me and she rode me CG, then RCG, then I annihilated her from behind for a solid 10 minutes. Had her climb back on CG and had her twerk her hips on me until I unloaded this Bacardi seed deep inside her.
10 valet.
No coat check.
No cover.
60 for food and drinks.
340 to (god I wish I could remember her name).
Good visit. Can't wait to go back again.

Posts: 255Anything Is Possible I guess.
Funny you should ask that because I always asked the guys I knew that DJ'd clubs the same thing ("Do you get paid in ass in sometimes if the girls can't tip you out? The response I always got was a mix of "very rarely (if at all)" to "I've been known to sample the goods from time to time". I guess it really depends on the club, clientele and caliber of girls working there.

Once again, I suppose it just all depends. Also, from what I'm aware those dudes don't make money like they used to.
In a former life I DJ'd a few non-strip clubs on the west side and covered for a buddy of mine that worked at Landing Strip for a day shift (I think maybe back in 2004 or 2005?) and I think I walked out with something like $200 for the day shift. Not horrible cash mind you (and the ladies were being pretty cool with me), but I know that same guy that I covered for bounces from club to club and makes just about that now on a busy Saturday NIGHT SHIFT. Like I said, if you're into looking at tits all night and not having to work too much for $200 or so, it could be a fun gig but I can't imagine wanting to do that for more than a month or so without wanting to tear my own hair out from playing the same 100 songs over and over again. As with all things, the fantasy sometimes is better than the reality.

Posts: 264I have sometimes wondered if it would be possible to be a club DJ and ask to be paid, either partially or in full, in services. "Sure, I'll spin for you. Just do me one favor: About an hour before closing, I'll give you the name of one or two dancers I'd like to have you send up to the booth. Tell them their tip-out and fees are being covered for the night and take it out of what you were paying me."

If you visit in the evening, you might check out Jessica, a tall, slender white woman with light brown hair. She is very flexible and provides an excellent private dance. Very attractive, if you like slender women.

Posts: 249Henry VIII Fri 12/9 Parts 1&2
Stopped in here twice tonight. Hadn't planned on reloading that fast but came back for seconds. First in the tank was Pixie, a 5'2'ish AA girl with mega frizzy hair. Pleasantries aside, took her in back for $200, everything covered to completion inside her. Amazing top skills and very sensual. Would repeat 10/10.
Second stop I drew Callie. She said she was beyond fucked up. Perfect LOL! Asked her if she does anything bareback, she asked what I'd like to do. I said I'd love to fuck you? She starts with 300, I settle on 200 BBFS CIP. Take her in back. Start CG, she rides me for a couple minutes but I know she's going to finish me off quick. I flipped her over and started hitting it from behind. Stayed there for about 10 minutes and delivered that Bacardi seed deep inside her. She pushed back on my midsection a few times making the comment my cock was too big LOL. Again would repeat 10/10.
Great Fri at Henry's. For what it's worth, I started at Bogarts and the talent there was even worse than what you'd expect to find at Bogie's.
Back at it tomorrow morning again.

Best believe I am not some sort of music snob that needs to hear every genre of music when I go into a club, but holy shit! When it's the same genre over and over again it becomes a whole lot of white noise after a while and slightly ruins the experience for me. I would just love to hear a dance or a pop song once in a while something or anything I might know.

Must of have been a super awesome gig to just sit there, occasionally turn down the music to announce the next girl and then go back to doing whatever. But my guess is that a lot of the DJ's now are kind of the same way these days (just create a playlist of 100+ songs and hit shuffle). All that said, as long as there's some hot girls grinding on me I honestly don't care. LOL.
