I try and get a hold of them earlier, like sometime a week or more out, just to maybe make sure, I won't get ghosted on the day, or to try and make a plan, no go, still doesn't matter, still get ghosted / stood up, has Portland flakeyness really spread to everyone? I find that it's funny they always ***** about being broke still, and not see the correlation, between that and ghosting people haha.

Most these gals have kids of course and they are all freaked about the holiday, kids are about to be home for two weeks, how am I going to make money and I need to shop to buy presents, every woman I know including the mrs. Gets absolutely bat shit nuts during thanksgiving and Christmas. I think it's a gene every mother passed down to their girls. My mother was also a piece of work during these months. Just saying.

To the above thread on prices, it's getting a little nuts. There's no fucking way I'm paying 380 bucks for covered anything. That's just me. I cannot stand when they say VIP, what constitutes VIP is to each woman's discretion, but upcharge or Ala cart. I'm not cheap, but you get in there and she starts saying BBBJ that's extra, don't grab my hair that's extra, I touched it, sorry. I'm so fucking sick of that bullshit. Every woman has a choice in what she will or won't do, I respect that. With these prices, they are going to put themselves out of business unless they are a regular of yours or just plainsmokin hot, and most, well, let's just say I love them all and respect what they do, but for 400 bucks, looks like me and Rosie palm are going to get to know one another again. Hopefully when this recession hits, it will bring it back to reality. The recession is here, but the prices have not been affected.

I'm not seeing that much rise in my daily costs of living.

My wages haven't gone up.

But some of these women are definitely charging by the pound or just posting a huge number expecting to get haggled down to 200 ish, which is what they may be happy with.

The economy has definitely made hobbying nearly impossible for me, sadly.

It's just like the car market. Providers will charge the maximum they can so long as they can still meet their overall profit goals. The difference is the cost overhead is almost zero for them*. Their prices won't come down so long as some schmuck is paying the exorbitant rate.

Consider a provider that once was $200. They may have realized that raising their rate to $600 reduces their sale volume down to 1/3 of what it was. But the overall profit margins are identical: $200*3 == $600*1. All it takes is a handful of inelastic buyers to severely skew the market.

*Ignoring the cost of in calls and physical risks per encounter.

This is like fishing. When I was young it was: just want to catch a fish. Then it was catch a lot of fish, then catch the biggest, and now it's just be fishing.

Is it me, or is the ghosting by providers getting worse in Portland. I had 3 girls .3!! That ghosted me yesterday. One I even showed up at the meeting place at the promised time. No response when I get there, no later lame apology. Nothing. Two of these providers I've seen before and the 3rd one had great reviews on TNA. I was on my way over to her as well, got the address and everything, and she just stopped responding.

This has happened at least a half dozen times in the last two weeks. It's crazy. Can Portland get any worse!?

I could care less how anyone chooses to hobby. If a guy wants to negotiate rates the lady is free to say no, counter offer or accept. There are no rules and this isn't disrespectful at all. All my regulars have offered me discounts for my repeat business, so obviously most women will take less. It doesn't hurt to ask. It's not like we're trying to establish a romantic relationship here and impress the ladies with money.

I have had great success negotiating rates with providers, I have a regular bbbfscip bbgreek pullout no upsell for 100 hhr. Yes you've read that right. Fuck it, I'll keep negotiating rates till my dick goes limp oooof!

Greece was incredible for the hobby. I saw five different women, ALL were better looking and more fun and professional than Portland, by a long shot. Easy set up, very clear menu items, no flaking, full hour appointments, and the rates were half or less than what you would pay for here.

In Greece, prostitution is legal. Even with the act decriminalization here in the States, hobbyists and workers are harassed by 5-0. If all sex work was legalized here, it would follow the model of every illegal thing that's been legalized. The people who want the reward without the risk engage in the activity, more competition drives down process, and quality improves (okay, maybe not this one.)

I've been thinking about quiting the hobby in Portland for awhile due to all of the problems we always discuss on here, but after being in the Greek Islands (the literal place, not the hobbyist code phrase), I think I've lost the will to deal with all the hobbyist problems in the city.

Greece was incredible for the hobby. I saw five different women, ALL were better looking and more fun and professional than Portland, by a long shot. Easy set up, very clear menu items, no flaking, full hour appointments, and the rates were half or less than what you would pay for here. Athens was the most affordable. I paid 150-250 euros on average for an hour. Full GFE (except for BBFS, but with all the STIs currently floating around, I'm done with that as well). Menus were lfk / dfk, daty, BBBJ, msog, and cim. About 1/3 of the girls offer greek, and I chose to do that once (not a huge fan) Cim and Greek are a nominal upsell (25-50 euros). The 250 I paid once for a 50 euro upsell for greek, and that was in the most expensive island -Mykonos. I paid 150 in Athens for a 19 year old Greek girl and that included dropping two loads in her mouth.

All the women were basically drop-dead gorgeous. The pics were definitely air brushed, but about what you would expect here for the Russian / Eastern European women that come through town that cost 500-600 for an hour with cim. Most of the girls in Greece aren't from there, I saw girls from Latvia, Brazil, Ukraine, Spain, and the one from Greece.

It was especially great because the USD. Euro exchange is 1:1 now.

I just can't go back to seeing these providers in Portland after this. Even some of my faves are becoming flaky, upcharging, complaining about everything, having general attitudes. The girls I saw in Greece were friendly, accommodating, and smelled great. They all genuinely seemed to enjoy the experience, and never rushed me out the door. If I didn't feel like doing a 2nd round, they gave messages and another BBBJ if it was happening. A couple of the girls wanted to hang out the next day. One said if I took her out on a guided boat tour the next day in Santorini, that she would do a full day for 700 euros. I decided to pass.

Oh, and the Greek islands are an amazing place to visit on vacation!
