Been a while since I posted a recon report. Since then I have moved and been extremely busy. My new recon route is G-field from the freeway to 27, up 27 to Nat'l, Nat'l back to 16,16 to G-field, G-field back to the freeway.

Went on recon about 3:30 this afternoon. Starting on G-field: lots available at the old CC on 8th. Two sheltering at the side door and at least one back on the fire escape (or whatever that is facing the alley), all WSW, two with dark hair, one with pink. Looped them three times contemplating a scoop, but there were also three dudes who were hovering in the area, so I moved on. Not sure if they were managers, dealers or both. One WSW walking the south side of the street. About 5'4", brown hair and tomboyish looks. One BSW at 22nd. End of G-field.

On Nat'l: one possible HSW at 24 (about 5'2" heavy, a buck fifty if she's an ounce. Another possible at 22, didn't get too good a look, but she had the walk down.

Went back towards the freeway, only the dudes at the CC side door, didn't loop the back. Got on the freeway and cleared the target zone.

Also of note: there were two "private police" vehicles just off Nat'l and 6th (a block north) with their lights flashing. I wonder if MPD is contracting, or they were working for the church right there.

As the title suggests, I am visiting the area and was wondering about the scene. I have free time on Tuesday morning. Are there any active locations during that time?

To say the current street situation is marginal is being generous. Best bet any time of day is National Ave from 27th to 16th and Greenfield Av from 6th St to 27th St. You might find someone after 5 minutes, you might be empty handed after 2-3 hours. Keep your guard up at all times, high crime areas.
