You're wrong, SCOTUS ruling earlier this year changed that. I have one and so do hundreds more as of now. Carrying is permitted but you can get jammed up should you pull out your gun.

Don't get it twisted; the ruling allowed for you to carry outside your house, however, state restrictions still guide you on where you can or cannot carry firearms.

We have always been able to apply for a carry permit but it will be 100% denied if you are not some type of current or ex law enforcement. A permit to purchase and own is easily obtained but to carry on your person in NJ is very very unlikely.

I suspect our guy did not actually carry. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he became aggressive here because he's embarrassed about what happened and because someone on the Philly board gave him a hard time about it, and "I'm a big guy with a gun" is just chest puffing.

Conceal carry does not exist in NJ unless you are active or ex law enforcement. If your from out of state you were carrying illegally in NJ.

I hear you, but it isn't like we were wandering the streets of Kensington or Camden, we were along the highway in Mount Laurel, with 2 of the motels in the same parking lot. Also, I am a bigger guy and I have my conceal carry, so I am always strapped just in case. If the situation had been more dangerous IMO then I definitely would have taken a different approach. Honestly not sure what, if anything, your reply contributed, other than a weak attempt to make you feel better about yourself. I'm an experienced monger who actively contributes to the boards, and I hold myself to a higher standard than to just shit on a fellow senior member for sharing their experience in a effort to help other mongers avoid scumbag providers.

Guys do some research! Early July there was a huge court ruling changing the process and wording to get a CC permit!

Not going to lie, I got kind of swindled by that trick but it worked out OK for me one time.

About 2 years ago I responded to an ad late at night in Trenton NJ for a 2 girl show that was supposed to be incall. I was just about to say the same thing. You have to be fairly prominent or LE to get a concealed weapons permit in NJ.

Even if you have a permit to conceal carry in PA it's no good in NJ, as in, a legal Pennsylvania gun owner with a valid concealed weapons permit can do years in prison if ever caught in NJ with a concealed firearm on your person or in your car.

If you're traveling through different states, people need to do research on the laws before they go if firearms are being transported.
