I don't have it twisted, the claims that no one can get a carry permit are now wrong. You take the steps, submit the application and then wait. I have one, but I also know that the state is not happy and keeps trying to limit its use, but there are a few lawsuits going that should stop the nonsense. Seems elected officials don't understand constitutional law and that it's a right not a privilege.

You're wrong, SCOTUS ruling earlier this year changed that. I have one and so do hundreds more as of now. Carrying is permitted but you can get jammed up should you pull out your gun.

And, in the off chance that law enforcement is around, the guy with the piece is going to receive more scrutiny than the junkie hooker. I don't know about that guy you were replying to. I assume he does what many of us do here and point out mistakes fellow mongers make. I do beat down on other Mongers when they do stupid things. Conceal carry does not exist in NJ unless you are active or ex law enforcement. If your from out of state you were carrying illegally in NJ.

I hear you, but it isn't like we were wandering the streets of Kensington or Camden, we were along the highway in Mount Laurel, with 2 of the motels in the same parking lot. Also, I am a bigger guy and I have my conceal carry, so I am always strapped just in case. If the situation had been more dangerous IMO then I definitely would have taken a different approach. Honestly not sure what, if anything, your reply contributed, other than a weak attempt to make you feel better about yourself. Guys do some research! Early July there was a huge court ruling changing the process and wording to get a CC permit!
