Stumbled across this old post and wanted to share my experience. I am married. When I first got on SA a few years ago, I did not have a public photo but did have a private photo of myself. I would only reveal the private photo to POTs I felt comfortable with. I was naive and inexperienced to all the scammers on the site. I also texted a few POTs face pics and mentioned my IRL profession in conversation. I was using a burner phone and thought that was enough opsec.

Big mistake. A blackmailer started calling me on my real cell and at work. I tried blocking the number but he had some technology that could bypass the block with No Caller I'd that would come up. I tried ignoring him but he was relentless and started calling my wife too. He wanted 10 k or else he was going to "come to my neighborhood and tell everyone what I was up to. " Knew my real name and address. I said fuck you I will never give you any money and filed a police report. I was ready to accept the damage to my RL rather than pay a blackmailer. He eventually went away but it was a very stressful few weeks.

Took about a year off SA bc I didn't want to expose myself to that again. Got back on a few months ago. Now I use the pics of a guy who looks like me except maybe a bit better looking. I get the photos from FB but not of any of my friends. Even with that my profile pic cuts off half the face. My private pics are of the same guy and show the full face but I changed the color of the photos using the Painter app. I never, never, never text my actual photo to anyone. If a POT asks me to text a face pic I send her one of the same dude I use for my private pics. I also never tell any POT my real profession. I look enough like the dude in the photos that when I meet the baby it's never an issue.

Yes. She was always big. Too big now IMO. Even though I heard SB sucks, recently quite a few gals I have seen or know are legit have shown up over there. Plus there are some interesting pots on there so I signed up for the 100 credits for $60.

It's 10 credits to message, 10 to view hidden photos and 10 to view any photos she sends over chat there.

So I was only able to contact 10. As others have mentioned, choose wisely ones that seem legit. However for me, I only got 4 replies out of the first 9. Only 1 of those actually chatted beyond the "how are you". Others Robots? I saved my last credits for one I had been messaging on Seeking until my membership ran out. That one has panned out so the $60 wasn't a total loss.

On a side note, those verification videos are eye opening in most cases. No makeup and sour looks seem to be the norm. Not even saying "let me be your secret" in a sexy voice. Like SA, I got lots messages I never opened. Only a few out of state, unlike SA where they jump on you like vultures if you are out in public view.

I agree that this is a wise precaution, and depending on how savvy the POT is, can even give you their real identity. This can help you avoid problem girls, like one's with arrest records, and just is something you can keep in your back pocket in case something goes wrong and she threatens you.
