Had a great first visit recently. Small club inside but nicely appointed and clean. Good variety of dancers, and staff were all very friendly to boot. Drinks average, topless dances expensive at $25, though LD area in basement offers decent privacy. If you are local and looking for a nice evening (perhaps without extras) I'd highly recommend.

If you are planning to engage in Providence with a "Bridgeport strip club wallet", then you've assessed Providence correctly. My comment is not about you, but more about the costs found in Providence today. When visiting from north of Providence the costs aren't as ominous compared to playing in a strip club in MA. It might be worth seeing the lineups at a couple of clubs and the commentary you've perused here will inform you of the costs of participation at most levels. Personally I'd peruse Club Desire and Club Fantasies, but it's your visit! Enjoy!

Start at Fantasies is always a good strategy. If that fails, Desire is a more $ option. Only plus side is if you find Desire a GPS show, your really close to the best spa in the area.

Heading to Providence area tonite around 8. From the reports here, It seems that the clubs are not even worth the bother. Is that the opinion here? Thank you.

There's definitely a cover at Desires, every night, starting at 6.

I was a member for a while, so I never noticed, but I was in there recently, probably around 6:30, and the guy at the door said there was a cover every night starting at 6.

I have never seen the club without at least 2 or 3 dancers in the room, but I suppose it's possible. I don't think I've ever seeen a day dancer leave before 6, but lots of them start leaving at 6:30.

Yeah, it must be a more recent, or possibly a post covid thing, since it used to start at 8. Being a day person a cover never even enters my thought process!

A few years back when Zebra was still in the picture, they didn't charge a cover until 9. I'm guessing that was to challenge the Desire cover at 8.

Been hating Desire recently anyway since most of the girls have GPS and I will not go down that road! They are not a necessary commodity!

Hmmm! There was never a cover at CD before 8 unless things changed recently. The day girls start leaving as soon as their stage sets are done which can probably be from 5 on. I have been there around 6 without a single female in the room, except the bartenders of course.

I've had a similar experience at CD. I would sometimes get out of work early and get there around 3:30 or 4:00 and there's no cover and a good number of dancers. But a few times I've gotten there around 6:00 and paid a cover and had no dancers there (and I've left). So it seems that if the nighttime dancers are supposed to get there by 7 and often don't get there (or come out of the back) until 7:30 or 8:00 that the cover charge should start at that time.

Also, most of them have obligations to pick up kids at a certain time and don't always have the flexibility to stay past their planned end time.

Yes, but at most clubs, and certainly CD, the afternoon shift officially ends at 8:00. However, most of the girls are gone by 7, which is the issue.

Shift change is a bad time to visit most clubs, which I've never understood. You would think that the early girls would ant to stay until 8 to get the after work crowd, and the night girls would get there earlier (like 6:30 or 7) for the same reason.

The day girls start to leave at 6:15 and they're almost all gone by 7. I would guess some have kids, and have to get back to them. There are a few night girls that come in at 7 or so, but most don't get onto the floor until 8 or 8:30, so that 6:30 to 8:30 window is slow, and you're right, there shouldn't be a cover then.
