It is VERY rare that I've given a negative review on a provider. And in a way, this is NOT a negative review on this young lady, but it is a message to the brotherhood on this forum to be advised.
I normally stick to providers who I've seen before, who have been referred or vetted and those who have been reviewed on one or more of the various hobby sites. However, some of these providers may from time to time have an issue come up that would give valid cause for them to either delay or reschedule a visit. The NO SHOW with Hazel was with a provider whom I really enjoyed my previous visits with and one whom I was willing to travel for a visit.
We confirmed our visit via phone call prior to me making the drive through nearly 20+ miles of blinding rain between Columbia and Rock Hill to meet my end of the commitment. I was only a few minutes delayed due to the weather and a few accidents in between, but I kept her informed of my ETA. Needless to say, when I arrived at the general area she gave me, my texts and calls went unanswered. And with the turn of a new day, I still have not heard from her. So, needless to say, I had a wasted 2+ hour round trip for what I was hoping to be yet another amazing visit with her. For this, I did not make any backup plans because I didn't think there was a need to do so.
I was reflecting on this on the drive back to Columbia. I have no regrets for the 2 prior amazing visits I had with Hazel and I didn't have reason to believe I would or could have done anything different in arranging our visit on yesterday. But what I can (and will) do regarding this disappointment is to let the readers of this forum know about what happened on yesterday. It's up to you (those who have seen her in the past and those who have an interest in possibly meeting her in the future) to decide on whether or not to call her.
In my case, it's unfortunate that the pleasure I had with her during our previous visits is now negatively overshadowed by yesterday's No-Call No-Show. A simple phone call or text might have made me feel a little better about this. But her silence is considered a no-no by many real hobbyists. Therefore, yesterday was my attempt at a visit with her and I will no longer provide any recommendations and referrals to visit her.
So, now I guess I'm back to 0 go-to's in Charlotte.
