I have found that you can cancel a room without penalty, if the reservation was made the same day. Especially if the cancellation was within a few hours of booking. This is directly through the hotel's own app, not through a 3rd party reseller like Priceline. There are times you may want to book ahead of time when the hotel's app tells you there are limited rooms left at a certain rate or room type. Something I was surprised to learn is that with some hotels, you can book a smoking room (if they have smoking rooms) with a credit card, but pay with cash at check-in and there is no charge on cc statement. Obviously if you cause damage they will charge against the hold on cc. At some of these places (and they are national chains) you can also just pay cash with cash deposit. But these smoking rooms tend to sell out first, especially on weekends.

If they won't let you cancel without penalty, try to rebook room to next day or later date. Recently at a higher end hotel with 4 day advance cancellation policy, they let me push back room a day without penalty. Even with hotels YMMV, check with the front desk.

You walk into a Target or Giant, pay cash for a VISA or MC gift card that you can load whatever amount of cash on that you wish to. Yes, you'll pay an activation of $6 or $7 dollars, but it's worth it (to most people) to have a form of payment that's not traceable back to you. Bada bing bada boom.

Over the years I've been approached about one of these parties a handful of times, I always thought it was a scam and immediately blocked them. Never once considered it to be a real thing but maybe I was wromg, idk. I'd be interested in finding more details if it's real.

It really depends on who's running the show. There are at least a couple of SBs on various sites (one I know and have fucked multiple times at parties whose account is on SA, one I know by sight on Benefits) who are for real, but it's not like they're organizing anything themselves. They'd usually be able to tell you about a site or to contact them on something like Telegram. But yeah, I realized I'm not interested in hanging around other naked men, either.
