If you are going to recite the right wing propaganda, at least have the smarts to go fact-check before spewing it out.
Keystone pipeline wasn't cancelled. It's been operational since 2014 and ships almost a million barrels of oil a day from Canada to Texas. The oil is then refined and shipped out of the US. Virtually none of it stays in the IS in any form, including gasoline. The pipeline and all oil and products is owned by Transcanada. A CANADIAN oil company. BTW for future reference, it was the proposed Keystone XL pipeline that was cancelled. A new piece of pipeline that took the "kink" out of keystone by pipeline through native tribal lands and national parks. All for more profit for a CANADIAN oil company.
You know that energy independent does mean we ONLY use US oil right? Right?
The "regulatory" changes that make it unprofitable. Tell that to the regional and multinational oil companies that are ramping up drilling, pumping and refining across the US and in the gulf.
You didn't get anything right at all did you?

Don't usually waste my time on arguing politics. Nobody ever changes their mind. I don't blame our upcoming recession on Old Joe entirely, but the evidence on his contribution to the domestic energy mess is right in front of you. https://www.csis.org/analysis/biden-...and-gas-policy He campaigned on the platform of crippling big oil and swiftly moving to his new green deal. He has made good on many of his threats against the oil companies. Besides the regulatory harassment, he has promoted an environment where capital investment in this declining industry is now almost impossible to justify. What CEO can invest in something that he is being sued for? That's correct, the US oil majors are being sued in Federal and State courts across the US for global warming and the damage done by rising sea levels. There are over 100 lawsuits in progress. A 5 second google search will fill you in.

So we're going green and electric. Just one problem. This conversion was driven by politics and not science. Nobody ran the numbers on how much it would cost or how long it would take. Joe and the green wave didn't do the math. Now we are stuck without refining capacity and our entire economy is based on trucks that deliver our desperately needed consumer products using diesel fuel. A complete clusterfuck. The electric trucks on the "drawing board" go about 100 miles on a charge so for the moment we are quite reliant on fossil fuels. Yes, Old Joe has demonized big oil and it is part of the reason we have our current mess. For a look at the future, see how their doing in Europe on their green conversion. Gasoline is near double what we pay in the US and Germany announced in the past week that they will need to restart some mothballed coal fired power plants or they will be in the dark. Joe's strategy is what we used to call ready, fire, aim in my industry otherwise known as GWOP (goal without a plan). A quick way to be shown the exit in the private sector.

This is what listening to right-wang radio will do for your brain. Of course, most of the listeners aren't that bright anyway and always looking for a single democrat to blame for everything.

I'm not saying Biden hasn't made poor choices or done a good job of managing and articulating what's going on, but to simply say this was some sort of "plan" or "design" is simple minded and frankly, fucking stupid.
But hearing and repeating that sort of dumb shit is just a day ending in the letter 'Y' for the rightards.

Gas prices didn't jump almost $2 a gallon overnight the increase was by design starting with day one canceling of the keystone Pipeline. Canceling of oil and gas drilling leases. Along with regulatory changes that made it not profitable to drill or increase refinery capacity. The only thing that bumbling fool could do now would be to remove the federal gas tax which would only give a 18 c drop. We went from energy independent to energy dependent in 16 months.

Posts: 219Can you explain to me how the president has control over gas prices? If you say more drilling at home, that can have up to a 10% impact. What else you got?

I said, Sleepy Joe cannot have it both ways. If he wants to take credit in January for records in the stock market then he must take credit for for the downturn. Plus the crazy goon is now claiming that America is producing more oil now than under President Trump, and the Washington Beacon called Pinnochio. The Demoncrats were not using the figures from before the ChinaVirus hit.

You all tend to be a little simple about economics and just want one person to blame. Short memories too. The mean tweeter only took credit for good shit, but never the bad. Need me to find some reminder material for you? This is what listening to OAN and Newsmax will do to you.

No trip this weekend and right now I am not sure when I will hit the scene again. I have not been using any savings, especially since I am down almost 25% because of this clown. I just got a kick out of him taking credit for the market than when the market tanked, suddenly he has no impact. On top of that, even some of the newspapers turned on him and his admin when they claimed we were producing more oil now than under President Trump. Well, when you compare pre-Covid years to now, we are not even close to producing that much. Gag I hope we take one or both houses back in November.

Joe "what day is it" Biden and The New Democratic Nazi Party have destroyed our economy deliberately. Canceling of the keystone Pipeline regulations that make drilling for oil not cost effective. These were all planned. The food shortages that we see are also deliberate more than a dozen food processing plants have been burned to the ground in the past several months. I honestly never thought that I would live to see the day that the United States couldn't even feed its babies. Democrats are trying to condition the American people to think standing up for our freedoms and our constitutional rights is selfish. I sure could use $1.99 gas and a few mean tweets right about now.

Posts: 475This clown has been the biggest disaster of a President in history. Looks like even his own party is abandoning him now, as even the liberal press has taken to questioning his fitness for office, and actually finally reporting on all the problems since he took office. This wouldn't be happening without the approval of the puppet masters behind the scene. They now want Joe gone too, in order to try and salvage the mid-terms. Don't think it's going to help. They have wrecked themselves with their insane policies and driven the country into the ditch. Can't get the wrecker dispatched quick enough now to pull them out, so sea change is coming.

The Dems have thrown in the towel on Joe and are now throwing him to the wolves, allowing the release of excerpts from Ashley's diary (not new news, but suppressed earlier), further exposing (along with Hunter's laptop- also suppressed earlier) how fucked up and twisted the Biden family really is. Looking increasingly like he's not going to fulfill his term. Polls showing more Americans would vote for Trump than for Biden. I think you could put a scarecrow up against Biden, and he'd also outpoll him, for that matter.
Democrats have now pushed independents hard to the other party by trampling their rights and hitting them where it counts most- in the pocketbook. Nothing impacts apathy (and voter turnout) more than personal finances. A lot of angry voters will be making their voice heard, and it's going to be disastrous for the Dems. Going to be tough to prop the stock market up to try and save face, given the runaway inflation that argues against more free money, endless printing presses, ZIRP, and QE. At some point they'll get desperate and bring back QE, but the damage will be done. If you're any kind of student of the market, you knew it was time to get out when you had guys on here talking about how easy / how much money they were making on Crypto, and even teaching ho's how to do it. That should have been your sign to get out. Instead, there were suckers / HODLers holding the bag all the way down.
