Same here. Almost for got scammed. I stopped and purchased the gift card. The person sent me to a town home community but wouldn't give me the door number until I gave them the numbers off the card. I knew then it was a scam. I left and within minutes my phone was ringing. A guy telling me he wanted the numbers or he would report. My license plate number and name to the police. I laughed at him. And hung up.

If I can't talk to a provider then I'm not seeing her. I prefer to not really text, unless, it is a confirmation or address. The only time I put down a deposit is for a well known provider and someone that I've seen that's consistent that doesn't move around or Flake.
