The answer should be never ever. Even if it's a reputable provider it becomes industry standard if people are caving in and doing this. It wasn't a practice at all until just a few years ago. I remember the first provider that ever asked me to send one and I almost did but changed my mind. She's still providing services but doesn't require a deposit any longer. As time goes on the percentage asking for a deposit has increased dramatically and that's only due to the willingness of deposits being sent. We control the industry. If you stop sending them, it will stop the demand.

If you are visiting a girl there's no reason to send one. Some will say high end girls are different (maybe if you are looking to reserve a time and she's also high volume it may be needed) but I would just move on.

However, I have a couple of times and not gotten scammed, but it was under very specific circumstances that rarely apply.

1. It's a higher end girl ($600+ per hour).

2. She is very well-known. She has her own website, social media, and multiple entries on review sites or p411 (sites like LC and STG don't count).

3. She has good reviews and no history of NCNS. If even one reputable reviewer says she stood him up and didn't refund or eventually see him, I won't do it.
