What a horrible article. At one point they say addiction causes poverty and another that the unemployed turns to drugs, yet those working lose their jobs due to addiction. They are contradicting themselves. What they are saying though, job, no job, poor or not poor. So the root cause? I stand with my reasoning. Being poor and out of a job is a by-product in many cases. Look at it this way. If there was no poverty would there be no addicts?
