You'd be amazed, you can get in almost anywhere if you walk in like you own the place. Hotels are no exception. You've already got great advice from others here but I'll add my 2 cents.

1. Staff changes through the day. Front desk associates and managers don't recognize most guests unless they are regulars. Also they don't get paid enough to care.

2. Keep in mind hotels usually don't have cameras in the hallways. Once you're past the lobby they don't track where you are going. Major hotels don't want to get involved in liability so they keep the halls free of cameras. Plausible deniability that they couldn't possibly know if there was criminal of any kind.

Don't make a big deal of it. I've done lots of business travels and people meet in hotels for all kinds of various reasons. Yes, the staff might know why you are there, but avoiding eye contact, acting suspicious, etc. Is just making it worse.

Most providers will try to host in a place that does not require card access, in which case you just go right up. If card access is needed, the provider should come down the elevator, hopefully in decent-ish business type attire.

As regards the staff, if you need something, ask. Smile, be polite, it will make you less suspicious. Hell, I've even chatted the front desk staff up briefly, it only makes things more natural.

I really don't visit hotels much anymore but when I do:

1: When you arrive at the appointment and before you walk in, ask the escort where the elevators are so that you won't stand out as you walk through the front lobby. Do not hesitate walking through the lobby or someone may ask if they can help you. If they ask you just ask where are the elevators. I've always preferred motels that I didn't have to walk by a front desk.

2: If any one asks where you're going you can:

A: Pretend you lost the room # and go back to your car.

I've done that once a long time ago. The front desk person was going to follow me and I didn't want to draw attention to the escort, so I abandoned the mission. BTW, she thought I was full of shit and told me to never call her again. LOL!

B: Give them a room # on the same floor and go to that room # first and then act like you made a mistake and its a different room #. Then go to the proper room where your lovely date will be waiting. This is just in case they happen to be watching via cameras.

BTW,

Know that as a security precaution, many escorts will give you the wrong room # but her room will be on that floor within sight of the room she sent you to. Then she will probably stick her head out the door and invite you in. If she thinks you look safe.

Also know that many escorts will give you the wrong hotel address as a security precaution but will then give you the right address once you call and say you've arrived. This is often done when hotels are very close to each other.

That's all you really need to know about visiting hotels unless someone else has more to add.
