I always delete the apps I'm using and then just reload them later. Idk how effective this would be. But it makes me feel better. I put a passcode on the phone too, but apparently that don't matter. I also make it clear I only want to hang out. Talk. BS etc. I'm "lonely and just want to hang with an adult" I hope if its a sting they would have no interest. Which has happened. I wouldn't expect it either in a misdemeanor case, but someone accessed an account only assessable from my phone with two part authentication while they had it. Made some smartass changes to my profile on tinder. Sure they had s blast with that. Real funny. Changed my profile to be a woman looking for man.

As others have mentioned thanks for sharing your experience, but did LE actually go thru your locked phone via a back door? I was thinking they would need a warrant for that and not typically pursue that in a misdemeanor charge, but not sure. Thanks.

The conversation on the phone, both text and voice both contained what they needed. It's a misdemeanor charge (although an expensive one). They already had me no matter what at that point. I was transported with another victim. He was loosing his mind. I am not married. No one who knows me would be surprised or shocked that this happened. LOL. Could give a fuck what people think about me. I live a very private life and don't socialize a lot. So it is an expensive lesson for me, but hopefully something I have communicated will make a difference for someone else.

You have to remember that when you two are chatting at the contact phase, via text or voice or email, her job is to get you to state or voice sex and money. Doesn't have to be together, if your getting rates/menu/upcharges/specialty requests, she just has to get $=sex in the stuff before the meet. once you make a physical transfer of the money, thats enough technically.

Bedtime story made a major major error by talking to the detective after the miranda rights were read. Of course, if his chat log was incriminating and specific, that might have been his reasoning. But never talk to them without an attorney. I've been detained once back in 2014 wouldn't talk to them and they had to let me go after a couple hours of trying to get me to talk. According to another guy from the Cleveland boards he spent 72 hours detained once because he wouldn't talk to them and his chat log wasnt incriminating, he even was undressed and they still had to let him go and he sued the department. Remember this, there is nothing illegal about adults having sex with each other. They have to prove why you were there, don't help them prove that. Unless the john folds it is near impossible for any of these to hold up in court. When I was detained this was before I knew of this board. If you get detained, don't talk to the cops. At all. Besides your name and contact information. They will have to let you go even if your cuffed for a few hours or days. Wish him the best of luck in his case!

Well, it can happen to anyone BUT there are definite ways to reduce your chances of getting popped. I myself NEVER do incalls at all. If I don't know 100% that it's completely safe I don't do it. Every sting I've heard of is done in such a way as to protect the female decoy as it should be. They always have you come to them where they can control everything. They're not going to send decoys on outcalls. Even in street stings, the decoy isn't ever going to get into your car. The same danger limits apply. The guys who get popped are the ones that talk thru the window.

If you do incalls sticking with well known providers does REDUCE your chances of getting popped BUT if the provider got popped and is cooperating for a reduced sentence etc you're screwed. Like others have said, watch what you say and always pay after. If you can't do that pony up for a room and have them come to you and let them be the one walking in to an unknown situation instead of you.

Depends. If you had discussed money in anyway prior to meeting by text or voice, then the solicitation charge will stick regardless of when you pay. If there was an ad that had a price and you responded to that ad the solicitation charge will stick. Now if there is no price mentioned and you didn't talk money ahead of time prior to meeting and you didn't mention money for a sex act at all, then yes its likely you'd be ok paying after the act.

Show up to a sting incall after setting up a hooker appointment AND having a bunch of cash in your pocket will still likely get you arrested. Bonus points if you stopped to pick up condoms or some other thing she specifically asks for.

Yes, but if you don't say anything after the miranda warning, you're going to get dismissed shortly after arraignment. Or they will offer you a civil infraction disorderly conduct just to dump the case and salvage some money out of the whole shtick. Don't matter what you have on you, its not illegal for adults to have sex with each other. In Ohio, there is no assignation statute. You have to incriminate yourself for it to hold up in court.

Thank you for your posts. I consider this a valuable public service. While I can appreciate how it might help to be able to share a link or screen capture, I can also understand that nobody goes out expecting to get busted. Also, that ad is long gone and they will use something different next time. Some of my take-away lessons are:

1) Stick with well-reviewed women in GRAS areas. No new women without reviews or references.

2) Park your car within walking distance but out of site of the location. Or arrive by Uber! Better yet, park nearby and get a short hop Uber to the place. You can then leave by car if all goes well.

3) Leave keys, wallet, phones, etc in the car or at home. Nothing on you except the donation. If you bring condoms, put them in your shoe (or sock?)

4) When caught just STFU and let them prove it. No help.
