Well idk what providers you've been seeing but there are plenty of legitimate providers that ask for deposits. I've been doing this for less years than you and I've encountered 2 providers that wanted deposits and I obliged and I didn't get scammed.

Now would I see just any provider that asked for a deposit. No. Really depends on who it is.
