You already listed most of the what is needed to know (in terms of background). There are small rooms with jacuzzi's, private, have their own bed (twin size). Very affordable. No germs survive, so that makes them relative safe given the high volume that place has. You can pay cash and you can book for either an hour or for multiple hours. I like the place but it is too far for me and I prefer not to smell of chlorine all day so prefer to pay a little extra and just get a room.
