But yeah, stop bringing them into restaurants and grocery stores. Service animals only.

Estonia is allied with the EU and NATO.
As are most of the ex USSR collective.
Belarus is allied with Russia.
Ukraine has been on their own since the "dissolution" with Putin declaring them "not a country" since at least 2008, publicly.
This is of zero surprise to anyone paying even casual attention. Putin / Russia will not do anything to any country in NATO. He knows what Article 5 means and he will not risk it. His most recent statements are chest pounding and saber rattling. He knows Russia would be squashed before halftime if he attempted anything.
Carry on. With $6 gas LOL.

Posts: 2158+1. At one time, regardless of politics certain truths were always honored regardless of who was in charge. That has changed to the point where I have really started loosing faith in the leaders and the future of our democracy. Sad sad time when you turn on an American news station and hear this BS about Russia only defending it's western borders. There was a time when BS was BS and you could not feed to anyone with a remote. Now you apparently can.

Posts: 446Sad but true. I can't get over the sticker shock, plus my income has gone down not up. I get the increase, since the cost of living has also skyrocketed. I just spend 80-100 and go to an AMP and try to be satisfied with that until the next FWB comes along.

Posts: 964RE: Russian Invasion of Ukraine
My concern is the economic impact. Was also looking into the Russian Far-East for this summer, as of today that's probably over as travel sanctions are coming. A puppet regime is coming for Ukraine which could be odd. Belarus is already on-board with Putin, once he has Ukraine I'm not sure what that will mean for Estonia and other nations in the region. Really I just don't like Putin, but I'm not sure how Russians are going to get rid of him.
One thing which i've found strange is the far-right rhetoric from within the US about support for Putin. There have already been a lot of "if Trump were in office, this would not have happened". Perhaps, but who is really to know for sure? He met with Kim Jong-Un and ultimately that went nowhere, just as his advisors had told him. But it doesn't matter, cos he ain't in the White House. I just find it odd that the the political divide has spilled-over into potential support for a Russian dictator

Posts: 1358Of course one has a choice to make. But there is nothing wrong with expressing one's opinion, whether it's about rates, service, or whatever. As long as it does not "demean" the op, all well and good.

Posts: 1358For almost 100%, I agree. But if there is a serious recession or depression, one would think prices would have to go down.

I don't even know why guys take-up the cause of "we have to get rates to go down". It never works. We can all band together all we want and rates will still go up. They will. I've seen providers not take any business rather than lower her rates and hold-firm. There are quite a few who will do that. No amount of complaining, protesting, whining, crying and hell even begging is going to change that.
For some reason whenever someone posts this perspective there's always some dimwit who follows with "ah, so you must be one of those who support and are paying those inflated rates". That means no such thing. I have a range for which I'm willing to pay, nobody. And I mean nobody - is forcing me to pay a rate I don't like. I'll simply drive way or stop communicating. Yes, that means I don't get any from my selected provider. You have the same choice. If you don't like the rate you don't have to meet her, end of story. I don't get what's so hard about this. You will never, ever get rates to go down. A low-rate for me is a high-rate for you and vice-versa. We pay what we can afford and what we value, and that is different for each of us.
But it is assuming to watch the whining, LOL. Jesus, guys.

Posts: 1358How concerned are you about the war in the Ukraine?
I'm wondering what folks think about the war in Ukraine, and how concerned you are? Myself, I have the following concerns:
1. The nuclear disaster that happened in Chernobyl back in the 80's could rear its ugly head. For an excellent perspective about that disaster, watch the excellent TV series Chernobyl:
https://www.hbo.com/chernobyl
I have watched it twice, and is definitely revealing. Plus with all the covering up, and burying of nuclear waste, it could lead to a disaster.
Another excellent movie to watch on this same subject is The China Syndrome:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIGH1AfIS18
2. War could break out in Europe. As it is, countries (including the US) are already imposing sanctions on Russia, and maybe some of them will piss Putin off.
3. Hopefully, Putin will not push a button for launching tactical nuclear weapons. From what I understand the SALT treaty only dealt with "larger" such nuclear arsenals. But he seems possibly crazy enough.
4. Prices on things like gasoline, electricity, etc. Will go up even more. It's bad enough we have to deal with these ridiculous rates providers are charging, and with more increases in other things, they might increase rates even more!
Would like to hear other thoughts, opinions, etc. About this situation.

Posts: 1358I understand where you are coming from, and totally agree with you. Unless there is a serious recession / depression in the economy, rates will not go down, and some of these women will keep raising them.

Posts: 1081Doubtful, with a few maybes.
I doubt we'll see any significant drop in rates. Too many of them are trying to live out some sort of "Sex in the City" style fantasy, with food / location posts on social media, red bottomed heels and multi-strapped garter belt contraptions. Good example: Lauren Riley / aka Margot Harrington / aka Jennifer Taylor / aka Aerin Avery. It's more likely that some of them might quietly reach out to guys they've already seen to say "if you come see me this week (special price just for you! I'll drop my rate to THIS. " I giggle my ass off every time I see one of them post about having slightly limited availability because they had to get an actual job like the rest of us.

There's also the whole thing some of them do with listing different rates depending on which advertising platform they're using, but that can be inconsistent.

I want to get off of my chest, why I hate dog owners. They think that everybody loves dogs, and loves their dog. Here is news: Not every person likes having your dog leaning out your car window, and sticking its head out at our car, to your right. There is a choice to get a dog debarked. I wonder why more dog owners don't do it. They bring their dogs into places where no dogs are allowed, because they know that nobody will kick them out. You can't do that to mans best friend. People who own dogs act like a bunch of entitled assholes. I hate dogs, and I hate dog owners.
