But yeah, stop bringing them into restaurants and grocery stores. Service animals only.

    It will mean nothing

Estonia is allied with the EU and NATO.

As are most of the ex USSR collective.

    Belarus is allied with Russia.

Ukraine has been on their own since the "dissolution" with Putin declaring them "not a country" since at least 2008, publicly.

This is of zero surprise to anyone paying even casual attention. Putin / Russia will not do anything to any country in NATO. He knows what Article 5 means and he will not risk it. His most recent statements are chest pounding and saber rattling. He knows Russia would be squashed before halftime if he attempted anything.

Carry on. With $6 gas LOL.

I just find it odd that the the political divide has spilled-over into potential support for a Russian dictator

+1. At one time, regardless of politics certain truths were always honored regardless of who was in charge. That has changed to the point where I have really started loosing faith in the leaders and the future of our democracy. Sad sad time when you turn on an American news station and hear this BS about Russia only defending it's western borders. There was a time when BS was BS and you could not feed to anyone with a remote. Now you apparently can.

Sad but true. I can't get over the sticker shock, plus my income has gone down not up. I get the increase, since the cost of living has also skyrocketed. I just spend 80-100 and go to an AMP and try to be satisfied with that until the next FWB comes along.

    1. The nuclear disaster that happened in Chernobyl back in the 80's could rear its ugly head. For an excellent perspective about that disaster, watch the excellent TV series Chernobyl:

    https://www.hbo.com/chernobyl

I have watched it twice, and is definitely revealing. Plus with all the covering up, and burying of nuclear waste, it could lead to a disaster.

Another excellent movie to watch on this same subject is The China Syndrome:

    2. War could break out in Europe. As it is, countries (including the US) are already imposing sanctions on Russia, and maybe some of them will piss Putin off.

    3. Hopefully, Putin will not push a button for launching tactical nuclear weapons. From what I understand the SALT treaty only dealt with "larger" such nuclear arsenals. But he seems possibly crazy enough.

    4. Prices on things like gasoline, electricity, etc. Will go up even more. It's bad enough we have to deal with these ridiculous rates providers are charging, and with more increases in other things, they might increase rates even more!

Would like to hear other thoughts, opinions, etc. About this situation.

No amount of complaining, protesting, whining, crying and hell even begging is going to change that.

For some reason whenever someone posts this perspective there's always some dimwit who follows with "ah, so you must be one of those who support and are paying those inflated rates". That means no such thing. I have a range for which I'm willing to pay, nobody. And I mean nobody - is forcing me to pay a rate I don't like. I'll simply drive way or stop communicating. Yes, that means I don't get any from my selected provider. You have the same choice. If you don't like the rate you don't have to meet her, end of story. I don't get what's so hard about this. You will never, ever get rates to go down. A low-rate for me is a high-rate for you and vice-versa. We pay what we can afford and what we value.

But it is assuming to watch the whining, LOL. Jesus, guys.
Of course one has a choice to make. But there is nothing wrong with expressing one's opinion, whether it's about rates, service, or whatever. As long as it does not "demean" the op, all well and good.

For almost 100%, I agree. But if there is a serious recession or depression, one would think prices would have to go down.

Also, as has already been mentioned, there are too many "rookie" high tech folks around here earning a good income, and are paying the inflated prices.

I hope you'll pardon my rant. I hear you and agree with you. But rates are going to go higher and never lower.
I understand where you are coming from, and totally agree with you. Unless there is a serious recession / depression in the economy, rates will not go down, and some of these women will keep raising them.

    Doubtful, with a few maybes.
