Do you think we are making any progress at trying to keep escorts rates in check? I doubt it, especially since even during the pandemic when so many were hurting many raised rates to outlandish level. Are there really that many who are ready, willing and able to fork over 600 an hour for an escort?

Maybe we need a new thread here where people can complain about prices instead of bombing the other threads.

I have been finding out that even many legitimate escorts are now asking for deposits. If they are on legit sites they can't be scammers I wouldn't think. This is a major turnoff for me. They claim they are doing it as a defense against no shows and cancellations. But have heard that many of at least lower level ones are playing the no show game as well.

So, what do you all think about this, and how to make the hobby affordable to those of us who don't have loads of playtime money floating around.

The second you pay a deposit, you have transferred all the power in the transaction to them. Now they can dictate to you what happens next and all you can do is comply with their demands or lose your money. They can and will hold you hostage for all the usual bad behavior like ghosting, wasting your time for hours, and running errands for them on the way. Additionally it is just too tempting for them to take the money and run. What really can you do to get your deposit back? Call the cops? Leave a bad review? Yes we absolutely can force them to behave better and I am not talking about abusing anyone here. Just requiring them to hold up their end of a deal of a reasonable service for a reasonable price. But it requires ALL of us to think with our big head. Stop reinforcing bad behavior by paying pornstar prices and up front deposits to streetwalkers with laptops. I don't need to see any provider. It is a hobby for me. Most of the providers desperately need my money. All I ask is reasonable service, acceptable behavior (no ghosting, run arounds, or waiting for hours) for a mutually agreed upon price, payable in the room with no BS.
